Hole 12 (Hercules)
This tough par four is a slight dog-leg left.
The out of bounds, previously situated down the right-hand side of the fairway, has now been removed and players are encouraged to hit an accurate tee shot to the right of the fairway bunker to have the best shot into the green but too far right and the trees become a significant feature, including a mature oak about 120 yards from the green. The approach shot must allow for the wing bunkers and the left-to-right nature of the sloping green. This hole gets its name from the horse, "Hercules", that used to pull the greenkeepers' mowers and now rests under a mound to the right of this fairway.
